This Privacy Policy describes how Revv (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Revv mobile application (“the App”).
The App includes local features (create and edit gauges, connect to your Revv gauge hardware) and optional online features (Gauge Library and account sign-in). You can use most App features without creating an account.
Information We Collect
1. Information you provide
Account sign-in (optional)
If you sign in to use the Gauge Library or submit gauges, we collect:
- Email address — used to send a one-time sign-in code and to identify your account
Gauge Library submissions (optional)
If you submit a gauge to the library, we collect and store:
- Gauge name, description, and tags you enter
- Gauge design files (configuration, thumbnails, and related bundle data)
- Sensor type metadata derived from your gauge configuration
- An account identifier linked to your submission
We do not require your name, phone number, or payment information to use the App.
2. Information collected automatically
When you use online features, our service providers may process technical information such as:
- App version
- Device type and operating system (as part of normal internet requests)
- IP address and request timestamps (standard server/infrastructure logs)
We do not use advertising SDKs or sell your personal information.
3. Information we do not collect
We do not intentionally collect:
- Precise location/GPS data
- Contacts
- Payment card details (the App does not process in-app purchases for library access)
- Analytics or advertising identifiers for tracking purposes
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Authenticate you via email one-time codes
- Let you browse, download, submit, update, or remove Gauge Library content
- Review submissions before they are made publicly available in the library
- Deliver firmware and app update information
- Operate, secure, and maintain the App and our online services
- Respond to support requests
Local Device & Hardware Communication
The App stores gauge designs and settings locally on your device by default.
To configure and operate compatible Revv gauge hardware, the App communicates directly with your gauge over a local Wi‑Fi connection (for example, when connected to the REVV-GAUGE network). Gauge upload and device configuration data sent over that local connection is not uploaded to our servers as part of normal device operation.
You may also choose to export or share gauge files yourself outside the App.
Photo library access
If you select custom images (such as needle graphics), the App may access your device’s photo library only with your permission. Those images are used within your gauge project and remain on your device unless you choose to submit that gauge to the Gauge Library.
Online Services & Third Parties
Some features use internet services. We use trusted providers to run these features:

These providers process data on our behalf to provide the App’s online functionality. We do not authorize them to use your personal information for their own marketing purposes.
Data Storage & Retention
- On your device: Gauge projects, editor settings, and cached firmware files
- On our servers: Account information and Gauge Library submissions linked to your account
We retain account and submission data while your account is active or as needed to operate the library. If you delete your account, we delete associated account data. You may also choose whether library submissions you uploaded are deleted or remain in the library (see “Your Choices and Rights” below).
Your Choices and Rights
Use without an account
You can create, edit, and upload gauges to your physical device without signing in. Sign-in is required only for Gauge Library features.
Sign out
You can sign out at any time from Settings.
Delete your account
You can permanently delete your account from Account Settings. You will be asked to choose:
- Delete account only — your account is removed; gauges you previously submitted to the library may remain available
- Delete everything — your account and all library submissions you uploaded are permanently deleted
Email sign-in codes
Sign-in codes expire after a limited time (15 minutes) and are used only for authentication.

User-Generated Content (Gauge Library)
The Gauge Library allows users to share gauge designs. Submissions are reviewed before being made publicly available. Only approved gauges appear for other users to browse and download.
If you believe content in the library is inappropriate or infringes your rights, contact us at the email below.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information transmitted to our servers, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
International Users
If you use the App from outside the country where our services are hosted, your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate (including the United States).
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
